FAQs

Can I bring a plus one?

If you need to include a guest not indicated on your invite, please reach out to us at heatherandpitt@gmail.com.

Can I bring my kid(s)? What about my dog?

Unless expressed on your invite or RSVP, please only bring yourselves so we can dance the night away stress-free!

How do you pronounce "Peabody"?

"Pea-budd-ee". (piːbədi). Yeah, we know it makes no sense, but that's Massachusetts.

I can't make it! What should I do?

Please update your RSVP and let us know as soon as you can. We'll miss you!

Is there parking?

Per the venue's website: There are several municipal spots within an easy walk of the venue. The closest and largest lot is located at 86 Mill Street, Peabody. It is a 2 minute walk to the front door. There is metered parking all along Main Street, directly in front of the venue. In addition, there are abundant side street spots just a few steps from the building. None of the parking or meters in Peabody's downtown is currently monitored (as of February 2023). You can also travel by public transit from Boston by the Newburyport/Rockport Commuter Rail, which runs from North Station (Boston) to Salem every hour, seven days a week, and takes about 30 minutes. Olio is 1.5 miles from the Salem Commuter Rail station and cabs/Ubers/Lyfts are easy to find. Please carpool when possible.

I live overseas. Will you be celebrating outside the US too?

Yes! For those who cannot make the wedding day, we'll be hosting a smaller celebration in England on Saturday, July 6th at Thompson Community Hall, Thetford, UK. By car, it's about 2 hours from London, or there are trains and coaches into Thetford and Norwich. There are several bed and breakfasts and AirBnbs in the area. Stay tuned for more details via Facebook invite, and reach out to heatherandpitt@gmail.com with any questions!

I've got dietary restrictions—will there be food and beverage options for me?

You bet! We'll be sure to offer gluten-free, vegetarian, alcohol-free, and dairy-free options for appetizers, dinner, and drinks. When you RSVP, please let us know of any dietary restrictions!

What can I bring?

Just your wonderful presence! If you'd like to give us something, please check out our registry page. We'll also have a table for cards and small gifts at the event. Thank you in advance!

What do I wear?

That's up to you! Dress to impress in whatever makes you feel comfortable and confident. Though the venue is indoors with heating, the weather can be a gamble in March, so we'd recommend bringing a coat. Rest assured, there will be coat racks available when you arrive.

What if I require accessibility accommodations?

The venue is fully ADA accessible and includes a wheelchair lift. If you need anything else, don't hesitate to reach out at heatherandpitt@gmail.com!

When do you need me to RSVP by?

So we can keep things moving and plan accordingly, please RSVP as soon as possible. If you haven't responded by December 31st, 2023, we'll assume you can't make it, so keep us posted!

Where can I stay?

The Boston Marriott Peabody is less than two miles away, and the Bell Inn is just an 3 minute walk from the venue. In Salem, less than 10 minute drive, there are over a dozen hotels including the Hampton Inn Salem, Salem Waterfront Hotel, the Hotel Salem, and the Hawthorne Hotel. In Beverly, you can also find the Cabot Lodge, and there are several Air Bnb and VRBO options throughout the area. Please reach out to us if you need help booking!

Where's the venue?

We'll be getting married and hosting our reception at Olio, located at 43 Main Street, Peabody, Massachusetts. You can read more about its fascinating history at oliopeabody.com/history.

Who can I reach out to if I have more questions?

Feel free to text or Facebook message either of us, or you can email heatherandpitt@gmail.com.
